Close down all illegal wildlife sales in Indonesia. The wildlife belongs in the wild. Indonesian Law No. 5/1990 says: Every person who kill, capture, keep protected species (alive or dead) can be sentenced to five years in jail and fine of IDR100 million (US$7,400.00).

The Wildlife Authority (BBKSDA) in North Sumatra confiscated 6 protected animals in Timbang Jaya village, Bahorok, Friday night (6/1/2017) from the owner, Mrs. Ima. The slow lorises were found in poor health condition suffering from malnutrition. These animals are kept in animal rescue centre in Medan for rehabilitation before their releases in the wild.
