Scorpion Foundation visited Sukahaji wildlife market and found protected
bird on sale openly in front of a bird shop. This finding has been reported by
Scorpion Foundation to the Law Enforcement section at the Ministry of Environment
and Forestry on Saturday (19th of November 2016).
In the report, Scorpion also attached picture of the protected animal in Sukahaji from the visit on 13th of November 2016.
In previous visits, Scorpion also found various protected animals on sales such as slow loris and clouded leopard.
Many other species of birds are also on sale in Sukahaji market. They are brought to Sukahaji market without transport permit.
