Close down all illegal wildlife sales in Indonesia. The wildlife belongs in the wild. Indonesian Law No. 5/1990 says: Every person who kill, capture, keep protected species (alive or dead) can be sentenced to five years in jail and fine of IDR100 million (US$7,400.00).
Protected Animals on Sale in Bandung Reported by Scorpion (Nov. 19, 2016)

Scorpion Foundation visited Sukahaji wildlife market and found protected bird on sale openly in front of a bird shop. This finding has been reported by Scorpion Foundation to the Law Enforcement section at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry on Saturday (19th of November 2016).

 

In the report, Scorpion also attached picture of the protected animal in Sukahaji from the visit on 13th of November 2016.

 

In previous visits, Scorpion also found various protected animals on sales such as slow loris and clouded leopard.




 Black-winged kite on sale openly in Sukahaji market.





Many other species of birds are also on sale in Sukahaji market. They are brought to Sukahaji market without transport permit.
