Pada hari Sabtu, 3 September 2022 Yayasan Scorpion Indonesia bersama dengan Otoritas Konservasi Satwa Liar BBKSDA SU Wilayah V Sipirok dan OIC (Orangutan Information Centre) telah berhasil melakukan pelepas liaran 1 (satu) ekor Orangutan Tapanuli (Pongo tapanuloensis) di kawasan Hutan dusun Aek latong, desa Marsada kecamatan Sipirok kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan. 

Sebelumnya satwa tersebut telah dievakuasi dari dusun Sitandiang desa Bulu Mario kecamatan Sipirok kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan dikarenakan adanya konflik di kebun milik Gontar Simbolon.

Evakuasi tersebut dilakukan tepat sehari sebelum pelepasliaran Orangutan. Sebelum dilepasliarkan ke habitatnya, Orangutan tersebut telah diperiksa oleh dokter hewan dan tidak ditemukannya tanda - tanda terjadinya kekerasan ataupun luka – luka terhadap Orangutan tersebut.

On Saturday, September 3, 2022, the Scorpion Indonesia Foundation together with the Wildlife Conservation Authority of BBKSDA SU Region V Sipirok and OIC (Orangutan Information Center) succeeded in releasing 1 (one) Tapanuli Orangutan (Pongo tapanuloensis) in the forest area of Aek Latong, Marsada village, Sipirok sub-district, South Tapanuli district.

Previously, the animal had been evacuated from Sitandiang hamlet, Bulu Mario village, Sipirok sub-district, South Tapanuli district due to a conflict in Gontar Simbolon's garden. The evacuation was carried out the day before the orangutan's release. Before being released into its habitat, the orangutan was examined by a veterinarian who found no signs of violence or injuries to the orangutan.
