Evacuation of a Saltwater Crocodile (November 06, 2020)

Pada tanggal 06 November 2020, tim gabungan dari otoritas margasatwa (BBKSDA SU) dan staf lapangan dari Yayasan SCORPION melakukan evakuasi terhadap seekor buaya muara (Crocodylus porosus).

Buaya ini diambil dari desa Rianiate, Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan, Sumatera oleh pihak BBKSDA SU, Polsek Batang Toru dan masyarakat lokal.

Setelah kegiatan evakuasi dilakukan, tim dari BBKSDA SU dan Yayasan SCORPION berencana melepasliarkan buaya ini ke Suaka Margasatwa Karang Gading di Kabupaten Langkat, Sumatera.

On November 6, 2020, a joint team from the wildlife authority (BBKSDA SU) and field staffs from the SCORPION Foundation conducted an evacuation of a Saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus).

This crocodile was taken from the village of Rianiate, South Tapanuli Regency, Sumatra by the BBKSDA SU, the Batang Toru Police and local communities.

After the evacuation activities were carried out, a team from BBKSDA SU and the SCORPION Foundation planned to release this crocodile to the Karang Gading Wildlife Reserve in Langkat Regency, Sumatra.
