Dancing Monkey Continues in Batam Island of Indonesia (November 22, 2016)

Dancing Monkey is listed
as one of the ten world’s cruellest attractions by World Animal
Protection. In Jakarta dancing monkey attraction has been banned but outside
Jakarta, this attraction is still often found.
On Monday (21/11/2016), a
dancing monkey attraction was shown in downtown Batam. The attraction was very cruel
where the owner forced the long tailed macaque to follow his instruction. When
the monkey did not follow the instruction or slow to follow the instruction
then the owner immediately jerked the rope connected to the neck of the monkey.
Such performing attraction outside Batam, usually
done by the animal owner any time they want. During the attraction, donations
are collected from the viewers. In Batam such performance is done upon request
only. They play wherever people ask them to play.
Scorpion Foundation has written to the Mayor of
Batam to ban such cruel animal attraction in Batam
According to the World Animal Protection, there are
