Annual Work Plan to eradicate wildlife crimes is signed (April 16, 2018)

Wildlife Authority (BBKSDA) in North Sumatra and Scorpion Foundation (also known as Scorpion Wildlife Trade Monitoring Group) signed a joint Annual Work Plan 2018/2019 in the meeting room of BBKSDA in Medan on Monday (16th of April 2018). The AWP will focus on prevention of wildlife crimes in conservation areas in North Sumatra province, awareness programme, wildlife confiscation, animal rescue, etc.

During the previous AWP (2017/2018), Scorpion and BBKSDA rescued/confiscated over 20 protected species of wildlife. Below are pictures of some of them.

 



At the same event four other NGO's also signed AWP's with BBKSDA including: Indonesian Species Conservation Programme (ISCP), Orangutan Information Centre (OIC), TIME foundation, Bodhicitta Mandala Foundation.
