Scorpion Wildlife Trade Monitoring Group celebrated the World Wildlife Day in Medan this morning (Friday, 3 March 2017) by carrying out Sumatran Rare Animals Drawing Competition for elementary school students. 30 students participated in the competition.

Before the competition, the Assistant Director of  Scorpion Foundation, Yasra Alfariza gave a presentation to the students about the urgency of preventing the Sumatran rare animals from extinction and preventing any cruelty to the wildlife in zoos, circuses, wildlife park, etc. The presentation followed by a question and answer session. Students who answered questions correctly received various souvenirs from Scorpion Foundation.

The celebration was closed by a photo session with the students holding banners appealing to end cruelty to wildlife.
